Sompo Japan Financial Guarantee Insurance Company Limited (SJFG) and Sompo Japan Insurance Incorporated （ Sompo Japan ） are delighted to announce their formal association on 1 July 2005. This merger aims to achieve strategic reorganization of the financial guarantee business in the Sompo Japan Group. The operation of SJFG will be succeeded by Financial Guarantee Office newly established within Global Securities Investment Department of Sompo Japan.

We are aiming to achieve a higher presence in this industry, through synergy of SJFG's expertise and Sompo Japan's capacity as well as the alliance with Ambac Assurance Corporation, which will also be succeeded from SJFG. Your continued patronage and support are highly appreciated.

Until 22 July 2005, Financial Guarantee Office of Global Securities Investment Department will remain at the same place as that of former SJFG(TEL:+81-3-5219-1580). On 25 July 2005, we will relocate to new office at:
